Know Tobacco

Teachers

The Lung Association of Saskatchewan, in partnership with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health and with guidance from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, developed two health education resource guides for grades K-3 & 6-8, specific to tobacco.  Please note that the KNOW TOBACCO resource guides align with the renewed Saskatchewan Health Education Curricula.

ATTENTION TEACHERS/COMMUNITY EDUCATORS! We welcome your submitted feedback forms on the KNOW TOBACCO resource guides.

K-3 Resource Guide      6-8 Resource Guide

These KNOW TOBACCO resource guides have been developed with financial support from the Ministry of Health, Government of Saskatchewan.  The guides were created to educate youth about the harmful effects of tobacco while teaching them to make lifelong healthy choices.

We want children and youth to be empowered to make healthy choices and to do that, we need to engage learners through creative and critical thinking strategies.  Because of our high rates of tobacco use, all partners have recognized the importance of having health education activities specific to tobacco while engaging the importance of a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Special Thanks!

A special thank you to our team members and partners for contributing their expertise and guidance towards content development!
