Healthy Holiday Tips for Our Residents with COPD Saskatoon, December 1--The month of December is an exciting time of year when we spend more time on social activities with family and friends and preparing for the holidays. Unfortunately, during this special season we also see a peak in the number of people with COPD making emergency room visits or being admitted to hospital.
For additional information on COPD or lung health, please contact our Saskatoon office during regular working hours at 1-888-566-LUNG (5864) and speak to one of our Certified Respiratory Educators or check out our web site at www.sk.lung.ca. The Lung Association of Saskatchewan, the oldest health charity in our province, is proactive in the area of respiratory health for the benefits of the residents of Saskatchewan. We focus on the enormous cost in terms of human suffering and economic impact of lung disease. We provide leadership and pragmatic solutions in the areas of research, education, community programs, and advocacy to meet the challenging and changing needs of lung health in our population. The Lung Association relies on donations such as our current Christmas Seals Campaign to support our quality programs and services. Seasons Greetings for a safe and healthy holiday season from The Lung Association! For more information contact: Stella Spanos Operations Associate (306) 343-9640, ext. 233 stella.spanos@sk.lung.ca |
